A Message from the President:
Welcome to the WASPA website! As an organization, WASPA is focused on connecting higher education and K-12 educators to schools and students through human resource best practices. WASPA supports its members in the areas of professional development, networking, collaboration with other professional organizations and capacity-building for HR support personnel.

WASPA is committed to providing resources to make the human resource role more effective and efficient. WASPA leaders developed WECAN, in partnership with UW-Madison, to provide the most cost effective and meaningful method to recruit teachers, administrators and support staff to our districts. Additionally, WASPA and 5Share launched a members-only social network, an invaluable tool to access support and resources from HR practitioners across Wisconsin.

Recruiting, hiring, and retaining staff members are the biggest priorities of any human resource professional. WASPA promotes HR best practices by providing professional development in hiring best practices, compensation/strategic salary systems, benefits, employee engagement, and HR metrics, and more.

WASPA is an invaluable resource to all education HR professionals in Wisconsin. On behalf of the Board of Directors and Executive Director, I invite you to take advantage of these high quality professional development and networking opportunities. We look forward to seeing you in 2015-16 at our fall conference at the Osthoff, our spring conference in Stevens Point or one of the many other opportunities provided by WASPA throughout the year.

Sincerely,
Jen Sielaff
