Welcome to the WASPA website! As an organization, WASPA is focused on connecting higher education and K-12 educators to schools and students through human resource best practices. WASPA supports its members in the areas of professional development, networking, collaboration with other professional organizations and capacity-building for HR support personnel.
During this changing era of public education in Wisconsin, the human resource role in all school districts has become critical in the areas of recruitment, selection and management and retention of our greatest resources – human capital. WASPA promotes best practices by providing professional development in compensation/strategic salary systems, benefits, employee engagement, recruitment/selection and HR metrics, for example. In Spring 2014, WASPA and 5Share launched a members-only social network, an invaluable tool to access support and resources from HR practitioners across Wisconsin.
Those new to HR, seasoned HR professionals, superintendents, college placement advisors and other school leaders will benefit from the vast resources offered by WASPA.
