WASPA maintains a list of endorsed active and recently retired school human resource professionals who are available to assist WASPA member districts with a variety of Human Resources needs.
Consulting Agreement
WASPA Consultant FeesWASPA member districts/schools and endorsed consultants can negotiate a flat fee, an hourly rate, or a project fee. Rates will vary depending on the scope of work and expertise of the consultant, among other factors.
Consultant InsuranceWASPA does not employ consultants. The “Sample Template for School District Human Resources Consultant Agreement” contains a provision requiring the consultant to carry professional liability insurance. Professional liability insurance covers defense costs and damages for the consultant as defined in the insurance policy. The “Sample Template for School District Human Resources Consultant Agreement” also requires the consultant to name the District/School as an additional insured on the professional liability insurance policy and indemnify and hold the District/School harmless with respect to the acts and omissions of the consultant. Consultants with questions about insurance coverage or liability regarding the provision of professional services should consult with their attorney, insurance broker, advisor, or carrier.
