Compensation systems should be strategically designed to ensure they reinforce your organization’s goals while meeting the needs of employees. At the WASPA Compensation Seminar, we will do more than scratch the surface of compensation. During this day-long seminar, we will use real data from Wisconsin districts to learn best practices for bench-marking base pay and designing equitable compensation systems. If you are looking for a hands-on learning experience that provides you with a deep level of learning, this event is for you! 

How do I participate?

1.    Register for the WASPA Compensation Seminar

2.    By February 10, 2020, provide compensation data for 25 positions in your district using the link in your registration confirmation email. If you are attending with colleagues, only one person needs to submit this data. We encourage district teams to attend!  The data will be compiled into a report that will be used during the seminar.

3.    Attend the seminar with a desire to learn and a laptop (with Excel) to do data analysis.

What will I learn?

You will leave this seminar with the knowledge and data to make changes to your compensation system including the ability to:  

·   Define a compensation system philosophy

·   Build and utilize a point factor job evaluation process

·   Identify and select benchmark data that is organizationally appropriate

·   Analyze data to determine market competitiveness

·   Design new pay bands or ranges
